Ingredients

Eggs

  • 4 pieces eggs (separated)

Liquid

  • 1 cup hot milk

Sugar

  • 2 cups sugar

Flour

  • 2 cups wheat flour

Leavening

  • 1 tbsp baking powder

Salt

  • 1 pinch salt

Instructions 

  • Separate 4 eggs into whites and yolks.
  • Prepare the eggs.
  • In a bowl, beat the egg whites until stiff peaks form.
  • In another bowl, beat the egg yolks with sugar until creamy.
  • Mix the hot milk with the egg yolk mixture.
  • Gradually add the flour, baking powder, and salt to the mixture.
  • Gently fold the beaten egg whites into the batter.
  • Pour the batter into a greased and floured baking pan.
  • Bake at 180°C (356°F) for 30 minutes or until a toothpick inserted comes out clean.

Notes

Use fresh eggs for best results. Let the cake cool before removing from the pan.
