A classic apple tart with a flaky crust and spiced apple filling, perfect for dessert or tea time.

Instructions
Mix flour, butter, cream, salt, and baking powder to form a dough.
Add grated apple, sugar, lemon juice, vanilla, cinnamon, and nutmeg to make the filling.
Roll out dough and place in a 25 cm tart pan, reserving some for the top.
Fill with apple mixture, cover with remaining dough, and brush with beaten egg.
Sprinkle with demerara sugar and bake at 180°C for 45 minutes.
Let cool before serving.
Notes
For best results, use fresh, firm apples and ensure the crust is well chilled before baking.
