How to Make the Recipe

Now, let’s get to the fun part—making this delicious torta!

  1. Start by whipping the heavy cream in a large bowl until soft peaks form. This will give your dessert that lovely creamy texture.
  2. In another bowl, mix the softened cream cheese, powdered sugar, and vanilla extract until smooth and creamy.
  3. Gently fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until well combined. This is where the magic happens!
  4. Next, dip each ladyfinger cookie into the fruit juice for a few seconds, just enough to soak them without getting too soggy.
  5. Layer the soaked ladyfingers in the bottom of a rectangular dish, covering the entire base.
  6. Spread half of the cream mixture over the ladyfingers, then add a layer of mixed fresh fruits.
  7. Repeat the layers with the remaining ladyfingers, cream mixture, and fruits.
  8. Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours, or overnight for best results.

Pro Tips for Making the Recipe

Here are some of my favorite tips to ensure your Torta Gelada de Frutas com Creme turns out perfectly:

  • Feel free to mix and match fruits based on what you have on hand or what’s in season. Berries, peaches, and even mangoes work beautifully!
  • If you want to add a little zing, consider adding a splash of lemon juice to the cream mixture.
  • For a fun twist, try adding a layer of chocolate ganache between the cream and fruit layers!
  • This dessert is perfect for summer gatherings, so make it ahead of time and impress your guests without the last-minute rush.

How to Serve

When it’s time to serve your Torta Gelada de Frutas com Creme, slice it into squares and plate it beautifully. You can garnish each slice with a sprig of mint or a dusting of powdered sugar for that extra touch. This dessert pairs wonderfully with a cup of coffee or a refreshing iced tea, making it a perfect end to any meal. It’s also a fantastic addition to your list of weeknight dinner ideas or for those special occasions!

Make Ahead and Storage

This torta is a dream for meal prep! You can make it a day in advance, allowing the flavors to meld beautifully. Just be sure to keep it covered in the refrigerator. If you have leftovers (which is rare, but it happens!), store them in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days. Just remember, the fresher the fruit, the better the taste!

So there you have it! A delightful, refreshing dessert that’s perfect for summer gatherings or a sweet treat after a busy day.
