Pro Tips for Making the Recipe
Here are some of my favorite tips to ensure your Fricassê de Frango turns out perfectly:
- Feel free to add vegetables like peas or bell peppers for extra nutrition and color.
- If you want a bit of a kick, add some red pepper flakes or a dash of hot sauce.
- For a lighter version, you can substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream.
- Make sure to use leftover chicken or rotisserie chicken to save time!
- This dish can also be made with turkey for a post-holiday meal!
How to Serve
This creamy chicken fricassée is delicious on its own, but you can elevate your meal by serving it with:
- Garlic bread for dipping into the creamy sauce.
- A fresh green salad to balance the richness of the dish.
- Steamed vegetables like broccoli or green beans for added color and nutrition.
- For a comforting twist, serve it over rice instead of pasta!
Make Ahead and Storage
This recipe is perfect for meal prep! You can make it ahead of time and store it in the refrigerator for up to 3 days. Just reheat it on the stove or in the microwave before serving. If you want to freeze it, let it cool completely, then transfer it to an airtight container. It will keep well in the freezer for up to 3 months. Just thaw it overnight in the fridge before reheating!
